Bures St Mary Parish Council - About us
As well as being members of Bures St Mary Parish Council, the members serve on the Joint Cemetery Authority which maintains the cemetery, the Joint Sportsground Committee and the Village Hall Committee.
The Parish Council partly maintains the parish footpath cleansing via a grant from the District Council. It also pays for the upkeep of the parish owned street lamps.
The Parish Council has the right of representation on planning matters, which includes all planning applications and strategic plan proposals.

Warm Homes Local Grant: you could get a grant to make your home warmer if you’re a homeowner or private tenant, and your home has an Energy Performance Rating of D-G. You must also meet one of the following criteria:
Your annual household income is under £36,000 before tax,
Someone in your household receives a means tested benefit,
You have a long-term or severe health condition.
It could pay for improvements like installing
wall, loft and underfloor insulation
air source heat pumps
smart controls
solar panels
